The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Wednesday, May 11 suggests Chelsea Newman (Melissa Claire Egan) will wonder if she’ll ever be happy again.
Also coming up, Lauren Fenmore (Tracey E. Bregman) and Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) discuss their future. Plus, those close to Rey Rosales’ (Jordi Vilasuso) will gather for his memorial. And Allie Nguyen (Kelsey Wang) will open up to her grandfather.
Y&R spoilers tease Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will ask Allie what’s wrong. His granddaughter will tell him she found out her mother came LA, but not to see her. She was there just to sign some legal papers. “She came to LA for one night, signed the papers and then left at the crack of dawn,” Allie will tell him. She’ll admit it makes her feel the loss of her dad even more. Then she felt compelled to just get on a flight to come see Jack.
Y&R Daily Scoop – Diane Finally Gets To Embrace Kyle
At the Grand Phoenix, Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) will tell Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) she’s disappointed he’s returning to Milan. He’ll say it’s not what she thinks, he wants to talk to his wife about everything that’s gone down. But before he leaves, she’ll ask her son for one thing. “Um, before you go, would it be possible for me to give you a hug?” she’ll ask Kyle. Then mother and son will embrace.
Meanwhile, Lauren will tell Michael she doesn’t want him working for Victor Newman (Eric Braeden). She’ll suggest they move to the south of France, where they’ve just come back from a lovely vacation. He’ll ask her if she’d be willing to give up control of Fenmores and of course she’s not. Later, Michael will be shocked to see Diane at the Grand Phoenix bar. They’ll chat and he’ll tell her he’s “genuinely glad” she’s not dead. But as they clink glasses, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will get off the elevator and spot them together.
At Sharon Rosales’ (Sharon Case) place, her family will prepare to leave for Rey’s service. There’ll be a knock on the door. It’s Chelsea. She’ll say she doesn’t want to intrude. But she hoped she could say goodbye with all of them. “It was supposed to be small and personal, but you’re welcome to come,” Sharon will tell her. “I hope that no part of you blames yourself for his death. No one’s to blame, it was no one’s fault.”
Young And The Restless Scoop – Rey’s Memorial Is Held Offscreen
Afterward, they’ll discuss the lovely song Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) sang and the wonderful eulogy by Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd). But viewers won’t hear or see any of it, because the entire service will be held offscreen. It’s a disappointing disservice to fans of the character and the actor. Nevertheless, they’ll talk about Rey and all the good he did. “He was a real hero,” Sharon will say.
Finally, Chelsea will return to her hotel room, upset and angry. “I really cared about you, more than you probably knew,” she’ll say aloud to Rey, as she wipes away tears. “Who knows if it would have developed into anything more?” However, she’ll realize none of it matters anyway because Rey is gone. “I can’t help it, I feel angry and sad over what I lost. A potential future with a man I could have loved.” Once again, she’ll feel as though her happiness has been ripped away. “When is it gonna end?” she’ll ask herself. “When do I get to win?”
